Tropical Breeze

This project was primarily about color and how it interacts with one another. Learning how to mix colors to get different shades and values was a vital process in the beginning of this project. With having this understanding it allows you to to make better and smarter choices in your designs.

Working with a few inspiration photos I was able to come up with a decision of a design that would symbolize my goal of "fun, bright, tropical vibez".

The material I used was paint stick and it was a very wild type of applicant, so it took a lot of practice to get the look I wanted and for it to not get everywhere at the same time. I decided the best way to control the paint stick was to tape of my design in areas where I wanted to work, then directly apply the paint stick to the fabric and spreading it out with a paper towel which had an amazing smoothing effect which I loved.

I designed a skirt that is colorful and majestic, through the long and educated process of value importance.
